PSHE

Through the delivery of RHE/ PSHE at school, children will have the knowledge, skills & understanding they need to lead confident, healthy & independent lives, and to become informed, active and responsible citizens.

Children will:

  • know what good relationships look like, and will communicate effectively with people, giving them the best opportunity to grow into confident young adults.
  •  value their own physical & mental health, and have positive self-esteem; they will be empowered to make informed decisions & life choices.
  • learn in a culturally responsive environment where tolerance & respect for other cultures & beliefs is highly valued. Everyone feels valued and equal.
  • have improved social skills, increased confidence and be open & accepting of people who are different from themselves.
  • develop the ability to recognise, understand, handle and appropriately express emotions.
  • have an increased sense of empathy, and will be able to recognise and adapt to the feelings of other people.
  • have improved communication skills & positive relationships with their peers.
  • be equipped with the tools they need to become emotionally literate adults.
