We have been lucky to be chosen by INEOS to receive a grant to support the enrichment of our children’s lives. This year we have used this money to provide quality after school provision, holiday clubs, help for families, provision of camping and outward bound activities for our year 5 & 6 children.
Camping with Year 6
We took our year 6 children to visit Moorhouse for an overnight camping experience, the children experienced climbing trees, toboggining, rifle shooting, camp cooking and abseiling to name but a few of the activities.
Careers Week
Year 5 and 6 worked with staff for Commando Joe’s developing lots of skills to help them be successful in their adult life, they worked together to solve problems, develop their communication skills, develop the ability to work as part of a team.
All the children across the school, worked on designing a product, they worked in mixed age groups to create their product, then they had to design an advertising campaign and create a video to sell their product. Lots of fun was had by all, and as a whole the children learned some very valuable lessons for the future.
