As part of the enrichment activities, on Friday 25th January, Year 4 children had a go at trying to make a light bulb work through the power of only lemons and potatoes.
All they had to make this magic happen were some copper coins, some zinc nails and some wires.
After watching a quick demonstration video to see how this could be done, the children had a go at trying to connect the wires to make the light bulbs.
Sadly, we didn’t manage to make them glow for very long, but they all had fantastic fun.
The children are convinced that next time we try this, they will be super engineers.
